Applications

The Durham Geo TR-3000 Stormwater Sampler monitors rainfall precipitation rate and allows automatic, unattended collection of a stormwater runoff sample after a predetermined amount of rainfall. The optional data logger provides a continuous record of precipitation against time. See examples of field installations >>

The TR-3000 Storm Water Sampler meets the sampling requirements of the Georgia NPDES Permit GAR100000 for construction site runoff.

Benefits

  • Reduce unnecessary site visits. Unattended operation reduces labor expense ―which can be very costly when overtime rates and long driving distances are necessary

  •  Minimizes the risk of missing a rain event of significance and potential fines

  • May be upgraded with telemetry unit (see model TR-3010) for remote notification by e-mail, pager, or phone; access data on the Web 24 x 7.

Advantages

  • Compact, Light Weight, & Easy to Transport

  • Triggers pump at 0.5" of rain in 24 hr. If you need to set your own trigger level(s), consider the TR-4000 Series samplers.
  • Rolling 24 hour Time Clock

  • 2" to 1" End of Month Automatic Reset

  • Records Actual Time and Date of Sample Event

  • Self-emptying, Tipping Rain Gauge

  • Easy to Clean Sample Bottle

  • Ability to "Backflush" from Sample Bottle

  • Accessories: Data Logging

  • Option: Solar panel  ( you will not have to worry about recharging and swapping out your battery for a long time!)

  • Manufactured in Georgia

Overview of Operation

The innovative design is very easy to use.
A dedicated microprocessor with two button operation and a four-line liquid crystal display controls the sampler. Function, settings and current data are continuously displayed. Powered by a field replaceable gel cell rechargeable battery, continuous operation is assured for a month’s monitoring. The integral peristaltic pump is programmed to take a sample when the predetermined rainfall event occurs. The polyethylene sample bottle has a high water shut off float which activates when the bottle is full. The pump will then reverse and purge the sample line after the sample has been collected. The self emptying rain gauge is connected to the sampler by a cable and plug, allowing the gauge to be located away from any overhead obstructions. The water level sensor is also connected to the sampler by a cable and plug, allowing the sensor to be placed in a pond, stream or other suitable collection area.

The TR-3000 Storm Water Sampler is housed in a lockable, water resistant enclosure that may be inconspicuously located and secured on the construction site. Standard equipment includes: A 20 foot
sample pick up tube with weighted stainless steel strainer, a water level sensor with 20 feet of cable, one liter sample bottle, self-emptying tipping rain gauge with 40 foot cable, rechargeable 5.0 amp hour gel cell battery and a 110 volt (ac) battery charger.
